Complying With The TCPA: A Field Guide To Operate Your Business In The Current Regulatory Scheme
The 2015 FCC TCPA Declaratory Ruling drastically changed the landscape in which businesses that rely on placing outbound phone calls operate in. Traditional call center operations found themselves subject to more stringent rules, while many businesses that had not previously concerned themselves with the TCPA were suddenly tasked with complying with it. With the new interpretation of the TCPA rules, and the continued ascent of lawsuits based on technical violations of the rules, the ability to effectively contact current and potential customers in a compliant manner has become increasingly challenging yet vitally important. In this Webinar, we’ll first review the TCPA basics and then explore how to balance effectively operating your business while complying with the TCPA, with an emphasis on practical advice and recent trends.
The following is a sampling of the topics we'll cover:
  • Does TCPA apply to your business
  • What is an automatic telephone dialing system
  • When is consent needed for phone calls
  • What does proper consent consist of
  • Methods and strategies to get consent
  • Informational calls vs. telemarketing calls
  • Managing historical contact information that consent was not obtained for
  • The pitfalls of re-assigned numbers
  • Buying leads properly
  • The ins and outs of texting
  • Who does liability extend to
  • Monitoring compliance on an on-going basis
  • Voicemail drops and avatar technology
